Don José Gil de Gibaja, Juez Comisario de Guías en este pueblo de Jalapa del Reino de Nueva España, natural de los Reinos de Castilla y vecino del lugar de Rada, uno de los que componen la merindad de Trasmiera y diócesis de Burgos, otorga poder a don Nicolás Gil de Gibaja, su padre, para que como mayor de dicha casa y poseedor de los mayorazgos de ella pueda libremente y con pleno consentimiento del dicho don José, su hijo y sucesor legítimo, vender, subrogar o gravar en cualquier manera lo perteneciente a dicho mayorazgo en sitio que llaman de la Riva.
