Los Alcaldes Domingo Suárez y Baltazar Francisco, Regidores Juan Domínguez y Mateo de Santiago junto con otros Oficiales y en nombre de los naturales del pueblo de Xilotepec, nombran por maestro de escuela a Francisco de la Peña, vecino de Naolinco con una paga de 80 pesos en reales anuales, una fanega de maíz cada mes, 1 huevo por muchacho o de cada casa y una molendera, a cambio de enseñar la lengua castellana, oraciones, leer y escribir a las muchachas desde de los 7 hasta los 10 años y a los muchachos hasta los 14.
