Doña Melchora Chacón de los Reyes, viuda, mujer que fue de Don Antonio García Monzaval, vecina de la nueva ciudad de Veracruz, residente en este pueblo, se obligó a pagar al Bachiller Don Miguel Pérez de Medina, cura beneficiado de Jalapa, 240 pesos de oro común, procedidos de una negra llamada Nicolasa de San José, de más de 45 años de edad, que dicho beneficiado compró del Capitán Don Gaspar de Herrera, vecino de la Nueva Veracruz, quien le ha de otorgar escritura de venta por la referida esclava, porque Don Miguel Pérez de Medina no se la otorgó; para de hoy día de la fecha en seis meses, con las costas de cobranza.
