Baltazar Vázquez de Herrera, residente en este pueblo y vecino de la ciudad de Toledo, en los reinos de Castilla, declaró que por cuanto a Ruy Díaz, vecino de Sevilla, y estante en Jalapa, le firmó una carta de obligación por 137 759 reales, fechada el 6 de febrero de 1601, de plazo vencido, y él se convino con el deudor en hacerle una espera por cuatro años y medio, esta espera no habrá de prescribir la deuda aunque se haya pasado el tiempo de los 10 años que concede el derecho en semejantes casos.
