Don José Ortiz, don Joaquín Ruíz y don Antonio Arcos, vecinos de esta Villa, dijeron que por cuanto el Señor Juez sigue causa criminal contra Luis Portela por el pistoletazo que infirió al teniente de esta Villa, don José Domingo González, del que le resultó la muerte, y en el cual se hallaba don Manuel de Cárdenas, dependiente de la Real Hacienda, en cuya causa después de varios trámites que ha corrido y recursos interpuestos por Cárdenas, se ha mandado ponerlo en libertad bajo fianza carcelaria, por la presente los comparecientes se constituyen como fiadores carceleros comentarienses por el citado don Manuel de Cárdenas, al cual reciben en fiado en la puerta de este Real Cárcel para tenerlo bajo su custodia y seguridad, obligándose a presentarlo ante el Señor Juez siempre que se los mande.
