El Capitán Bartolomé de Castro y doña Sebastiana María de Zamora, como marido y mujer legítimos, vecinos del pueblo de Jalapa, dijeron que por el mucho amor que le tienen a la madre Sor Josefa de la Encarnación Vértiz, monja profesa en el Convento de San Lorenzo de la Ciudad de México, quien es también su sobrina, otorgan que por su voluntad hacen gracia y donación de una esclava nombrada Ignacia de Zamora, mulata blanca, de 10 a 11 años, nacida en su casa, para que por el resto de su vida la haya y goce en servidumbre, con la condición de que después de su fallecimiento la devuelva a su poder o a la de sus herederos.
