Don Baltazar Ruiz Fernández, vecino de la ciudad de la Nueva Veracruz, residente en esta Villa de Xalapa, otorga poder general en primer lugar a don José Antonio de la Madrid y Lobiano y en segundo a don Miguel de Lizardi, vecinos de la Nueva Veracruz, para que cobren todas las cantidades de pesos, oro, plata, joyas, esclavos y géneros que le deban, así también para que lo represente en todos sus pleitos, causas y negocios civiles y criminales, en especial con los que puedan ocurrir en representación de los hijos del finado don Ignacio Muñoz, de los cuales, el declarante es curador.
