Don Juan de Bárcena, vecino y del comercio de la Villa de Xalapa, albacea testamentaria de don Manuel de Boza, otorga poder especial a don Manuel Carrete y Lozada para que en su nombre y representando el cargo de albacea de dicho don Manuel de Boza en todo cuanto halle por conveniente, varíe la escritura de fundación de la Escuela de Primeras Letras, última voluntad del difunto, a efecto de hacerla mas estable y subsistente, para lo cual disponga de los réditos que se vencieron desde la imposición de 7, 000 pesos hasta que se abrió la escuela, cantidad utilizada para la fundación de tres obras, última voluntad del difunto.
