El Capitán Don Nicolás Alejandro de Meza, Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, dijo haber nombrado por teniente del pueblo de Naolinco a Don José Cardeña, y respecto de que ha hecho dejación del cargo por enfermedad, y atendiendo a la necesidad de que haya persona que administre la justicia, usando de la facultad que Su Majestad le concede por su real título, nombró como Teniente de dicho pueblo a Don Juan de Frías Cartagena, español, persona en quien concurren las calidades para ejercer el cargo.
