Don Juan Montañés de la Cueva, Escribano Público y de Cabildo de la Nueva Ciudad de la Veracruz, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, otorga poder especial a don Miguel Gómez de Soto y a don Cipriano Sancho, vecinos de la jurisdicción de San Juan de los Llanos, para que en su nombre vendan de contado un negro esclavo llamado Alejandro de 20 años más o menos, que hubo por donación de Francisco de San Juan, Oficial Real de la Nueva Ciudad de la Veracruz. Cuyo esclavo se encuentra libre de empeño, hipoteca y enajenación por lo precios que a ellos les parecieran.
