Don Diego Leño, labrador de esta vecindad y comercio, dijo que don Ramón [María] de Villalba se halla provisto Juez Subdelegado de esta Villa, y para ejercer su empleo requiere caucionar a la Real Hacienda la cantidad de 2 000 pesos. El otorgante es uno de sus fiadores pero no puede apersonarse en la Ciudad de la Nueva Veracruz a formalizar su fianza por las ocupaciones que tiene, por lo que otorga poder especial a don Francisco de Emparan, de aquélla vecindad, para que en su nombre lo obligue a favor de su majestad y por cualquier ramo de su Real Hacienda, como principal y llano pagador por el nominado Villalba hasta en cantidad de 2 000 pesos de oro común.
