Don José Nicolás de Acosta, Clérigo, Presbítero Domiciliario de este Obispado de la Puebla de los Ángeles, hijo de los difuntos Manuel de Acosta y Pascuala Díaz de Acosta, otorga su última voluntad, en donde declara no tiene bienes, solamente las tierras que llaman la Cañada y de los Acosta, que él ha administrado con poder de los demás herederos, poder que sustituyó en don Francisco Xavier de Olartegochea, quien deberá seguir el juicio posesorio que hay pendiente con los naturales de Naolinco, no debe ni le deben, nombra albaceas a su compadre Antonio Ortiz y a Cayetano Antonio de Acosta, y por no tener parientes a quien heredar, por heredera nombra a Mónica, niña que él crió y casó con Cayetano de Acosta.
