Don Fernando de Bárcena, de esta vecindad, labrador en sus inmediaciones, otorga que vende a favor de don Juan Francisco Carasa, también de esta vecindad, un Rancho o trapiche de fabricar azúcar y panela, nombrado el Platanar, situado en las orillas de la población, cuyas tierras lindan por el oriente con el Paso que llaman de Borrachos y Puente de Ladrillos, por el sur con el paso que llaman de Campanas, en el arroyo de los pedernales; por el poniente con el paraje que nombran las Minillas, y por el norte con Camino Real de Veracruz. Lo vende por precio de 9 000 pesos, 2 000 de ellos el otorgante cargó a premio corriente a favor de la Escuela Pía de Primeras Letras.
