Pedro Carrasco, dueño de recua, vecino de Oaxaca, manifestó llevar en ella tres indios llamados Bartolo, Lucas García y Diego Gerónimo [Jerónimo], cuya recua va cargada de cajones para la Nueva Veracruz. Asimismo, el corregidor le notificó de la ordenanza que prohíbe bajar con indios a la Nueva Veracruz, ni pasar con ellos de este pueblo, a partir del 1 de junio de cada año hasta el otro día después de San Francisco; también se le informó que a los indios debe dársele buen tratamiento, no servirse de ellos contra su voluntad y pagarles por su trabajo conforme al auto y ordenanza de Su Majestad que así lo manda.
