El Capitán Manuel Bárcena Bezanilla, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, dijo que el 2 de mayo de 1779 compró a don Francisco del Día, una esclava negra atezada de 19 años nombrada María Nicolasa, hija de Lucía Dorotea, sujeta a servidumbre y cautiverio, misma que vende a don Juan de Baizabal, quien esta libre de empeño, sin asegurarla de vicio, enfermedad o defecto, al precio de 100 pesos recibidos de contado.
