Don Roque Gutiérrez de Ceballos, dueño de ingenio en esta provincia de Jalapa, mayor de 24 años y menor de 25, dio su poder cumplido a su hermano Don José Ceballos y Burgos, para que en su nombre parezca ante el Señor Conde de Salvatierra, Virrey de esta Nueva España, y ante los señores jueces y oficiales de la Real Hacienda de México, y pida se le haga remate de la vara de Alguacil Mayor de esta provincia, en conformidad de la postura que tiene hecha ante el Alcalde Mayor de Jalapa, y por ante el presente escribano, en virtud de comisión de dichos señores oficiales, y si hubiera mayores pujas, las mejore y aventaje en la cantidad, por el tiempo de y de la forma que le pareciere, obligándolo a la paga de ellas.
