Hernando de Chávez, dueño de recua, vecino de la ciudad de México, dijo haberle quitado a Andrés Martín, vecino de Jalapa, una mula que le hurtaron; y el referido Andrés Martín, a su vez, dijo haberla comprado en 12 pesos a Gabriel Jiménez, dueño de recua, vecino de las Minas de Tlalpujahua, junto a la laguna de este pueblo; ambos se convirtieron en esta forma: Andrés Martín entregó la mula a Hernando de Chávez, y éste le dio carta de lasto para cobrar los dichos 12 pesos a Gabriel Jiménez, en cualquier tiempo y donde se hallare.
