Diego Jiménez de la Calle y Juan Arturo, mayordomos de la Cofradía de las Ánimas de Purgatorio en este pueblo, y a Juan de la Torre, maestro ensamblador, se concertaron en esta manera: Juan de la Torre se obligó a hacer un retablo de madera, en blanco, para el altar colateral que las Ánimas del Purgatorio tienen en la iglesia de San Francisco de Jalapa, cuya obra ha de dar terminada a los mayordomos Diego Jiménez de la Calle y Juan Arturo, para fin del mes de agosto del presente año, por el precio de 200 pesos de oro común.
