Doña Aldonza de Vargas, viuda de segundo matrimonio de Luis de Aguayo, vecina de Jalapa, dijo que el Lic. Tomás Vitus de Romay, beneficiado de Jalapa, por cláusula de su testamento, declaró que se le haga entrega de un negro, criollo nombrado Simón López, de 11 o 12 años de edad, por haberlo comprado con su dinero; sin embargo de lo contenido en dicha cláusula, dijo que el citado negro en realidad pertenece a Doña Ana Francisca Matamoros, su hija, porque ella fue quien le dio el dinero para comprar el negro.
