Fue casado en primeras nupcias con Rosa de Escobar con quien tuvo 7 hijos, y en segundas nupcias con la referida María Francisca, con quien procreó a Francisco Esmerejildo, a María Josefa y a José Joaquín. Nombra como herederos a sus hijos de primer y segundo matrimonio.
