El Lic. Tomás Vitus de Romay, clérigo, presbítero, cura propietario del pueblo de Jalapa y su distrito, vicario y juez eclesiástico, dio su poder cumplido a Don Antonio de Belvis, Capellán de Su Majestad, y al Doctor Don Iñigo de Fuentes, racionero de la Santa Iglesia Catedral de Tlaxcala, que está próximo a hacer viaje a los reinos de Castilla, y al Doctor Diego Hernández de Córdoba y a Juan Hernández de Córdoba, agentes en los reales Consejos de Madrid, a todos y a cada uno de por sí, para que en su nombre parezcan ante el Rey Nuestro Señor y en su Real Consejo de Indias, y pidan sea amparado en la propiedad y posesión del dicho curato y beneficio que tiene en virtud de cédulas de Su Majestad y provisiones reales.
