Fray Fabián Montes, Religioso de la Orden de San Agustín de esta provincia, dijo que con licencia de sus prelados fundó un rancho de labor, nombrado San Nicolás, situado en la loma de los Cerritos y que compró a Juana Molina; de dicha propiedad hace donación pía a Nicolasa Juana Gutiérrez, huérfana de 7 años de edad, con la condición de que no lo podrá vender, y si ella llegase a fallecer antes de llegar al matrimonio entonces pasara a manos de Juana Gómez Roberto, para que dicho lugar sirva al culto.
