María de Peñalosa, viuda de Juan Méndez e hija de los difuntos José de Peñalosa y Juana Vázquez, natural y vecina de este pueblo, otorga poder a su hija Nicolasa de Jesús de Alarcón y a su yerno don Vicente Vela, para que hagan y ordenen su testamento. Fue casada en primeras nupcias con Juan de Alarcón, procrearon 4 hijos, se casó por segunda vez con Juan Méndez, procrearon 3 hijos, sobrevive Ana María Méndez; del remanente de sus bienes manda se mejore la casa de su hija Nicolasa, asimismo manda se entregue el remanente de sus bienes a su nieta Gertrudis de la Soledad, nombra como albaceas a su hija y yerno.
