El ciudadano Francisco Martínez Flores, vecino y del comercio de la Nueva Veracruz, otorga poder general al ciudadano Manuel de Salazar, también vecino de Veracruz, residente en esta villa, para que en su nombre pida, demande y cobre judicial o extrajudicialmente de cualquier persona o de quién más haya lugar, las cantidades de pesos, oro y plata, joyas, esclavos, mercaderías y otras cosas que se les estén debiendo. Y para que de todo cuanto percibiere y cobrare, otorgue recibos, cartas de pago, finiquitos y demás documentos que fueren pedidos. Además, para que lo defienda en todos sus pleitos, causas y negocios civiles o criminales.
