Doña Josefa de Arellano y de Irala, y su hijo, Don Francisco de la Higuera Matamoros, vecinos de este ingenio, se obligaron a pagar a la Santa Iglesia Catedral de la Puebla, 2,418 pesos 7 tomines y 10 granos de oro común que montaron los rezagos de los diezmos desde 1656 hasta 1662, donde se incluyen las mieles y 689 panes de azúcar, regulados a once libras cada uno, para dentro de un año, a partir del 27 de julio del presente año.
