Don José Isidro de Rivera y Mendoza, natural de la ciudad y corte de Lima, en el reino de Perú, residente en Jalapa, hijo legítimo de don Diego de Rivera y Mendoza y doña Manuela Maldonado, difuntos, dijo tener compromiso de matrimonio con doña María Balbanera Acipreste y Escontría, hija legítima de don Mateo Arcipreste Sáenz de Santa María y doña María Balbanera Arcipreste y Escontría, difuntos, pero que debido a las muchas ocupaciones que tiene, no puede asistir a la Ciudad de México a cumplir con el compromiso, por lo que otorga poder especial a don José Mateos, Regidor Perpetuo de dicha ciudad, para que en su nombre cumpla con el compromiso verbal del otorgante.
