Don Juan Joaquín de Cendoya y Arizabaleta, don Carlos Díaz y Herrero, don Francisco Sáenz de Santa María y don Gregorio Ochoa de Amezaga vecinos de Jalapa, elegidos Diputados para la solicitud del honorífico y distinguido pedimento de Villa a este pueblo, siendo necesario que en la corte de Madrid haya persona representando a este pueblo, otorgan poder especial a don Juan Ventura de Cañas y por su falta a don Jerónimo Lisbona, vecinos de dicha corte de Madrid, para promover, solicitar y pedir ante la Católica Majestad de Nuestro Rey y Señor Natural don Carlos IV y en su Real y Supremo Consejo, la gracia y merced de título de Villa para este pueblo de Jalapa.
