El Capitán Juan Ricardo de Guzmán, vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, con poder para testar que otorgó el 22 de mayo del año pasado, ratifica una declaración acerca de la libertad de esclavitud que otorgó a unos esclavos negros, esto motivado porque su esposa, María del Rosario Ravelo, vendió sin su consentimiento una esclava de su propiedad, y para evitar que esto se repita, concedió libertad de esclavitud a dichos esclavos.
