José Gómez de Padilla, vecino de la ciudad de México, y residente en este pueblo, declaró al Teniente de Alcalde Mayor Don Francisco Miguel de Campo que conoce a Alonso de Orantes y sabe porque se halló presente, que andando en el campo Alonso de Orantes, desarmado, con sus mulas, le salió al paso Andrés Montero y con un garrote derribó al susodicho, luego sacó un machete y lo hirió en al cabeza.
