Don Gregorio Cervantes, soltero, natural de San Juan del Río, vecino de San Francisco Soyoniquilpan [Soyaniquilpan] y hace seis días residente en esta ciudad, de oficio arriero, de cuarenta y cinco y medio años de edad, hijo legítimo de don José Cervantes y de doña María Tomasa Celis, difuntos, otorga su testamento de la siguiente manera: Declara por bienes cuarenta y cuatro mulas aparejadas de lazo y reata que tiene en esta ciudad; un mil y pico de pesos que le debe el Gobierno Federal de fletes; un caballo y una casa libre de gravamen en el pueblo de su vecindad. Reconoce por hijos naturales habidos en Juana María Resendes, viuda al tiempo de la concepción, a Micaela, a Francisca y a Irineo Cervantes y Resendes. Nombra como herederos a sus tres sobrinos, Gabino de veintiún años de edad, Tomás de veinte y Marín de diecisiete, hijos legítimos de su hermano don Manuel Cervantes; y también a su hijo natural Irineo Cervantes y Resendes. Nombra como albacea a don José María Ramírez, vecino del pueblo de Soyoniquilpan [Soyaniquilpan], hoy residente en esta ciudad.
