El regidor Luis Pacho Mejía, residente en su ingenio Nuestra Señora de los Remedios, de esta jurisdicción, y Lucas Martín[Ibáñez], maestro de carpintería, vecino de esta provincia, se concertaron en esta manera: Lucas Martín se obligó a poner una prensa con sus cureñas y demás adherentes en el ingenio Nuestra señora de los Remedios, dentro de un lapso de ocho meses, a su costa hasta dejarla corriente y moliente, como la que asentó a Don Andrés Pérez de la Higuera; y el dicho regidor se obligó a pagarle por su trabajo 1 500 pesos de oro común.
