Don José de Ceballos y Burgos, dueño de este ingenio, aprobó y revalidó el poder que le dio a su hermano el Padre Lector Fray Boecio de Ceballos, religioso de Santo Domingo, para que como heredero y cesionario de sus hermanos a los bienes que dejaron sus abuelos Pedro de Irala y Catalina Pérez Molero, pidiese la división y partición de los mismos al albacea y tenedor de ellos; además, como cesionario y donatario de los bienes de su tío el Lic. Pedro de Irala, beneficiado de Jalapa, le da este poder para que haga las diligencias y ajuste la partición, así de las dichas partes de herencia como por tal donatario de su tío.
