Don José Gago, de este comercio y vecindad, dijo que el 5 de marzo de 1819, doña Josefa Rosalía Vázquez y José Lino Martínez, madre e hijo, le otorgaron escritura de venta de un pedazo de terreno de labor nombrado Camotepeque, ubicado en las orillas de esta Villa, linda con el río Sordo, terreno de los naturales y otro que fue de Gabriel y Manuel Ochoa, en precio de 1 200 pesos, de lo que le pagó 100 y el resto los pagaría en partidas parciales, pero no le ha sido posible cubrirlas totalmente, por lo que han convenido en devolver el terreno por un lado y las cantidades entregadas por otro, separándose y desistiéndose de la acción y derecho de propiedad, dominio y señorío.
