El Capitán Juan de Malpica, Escribano del Desierto de Perote, dueño de recua y labrador, dijo que por el amor que le tiene al Bachiller Antonio Zavala y Landa, Presbítero Teniente de Cura y por haber recibido de él buenas obras, hace gracia y donación pura, perfecta e irrevocable de 100 varas de tierra en términos de ese desierto, ubicada junto a las tierras del hospital. Dichas tierras las compró a la viuda de Pedro de la Almoguer Angulo, Alguacil Mayor que fue de la provincia de Jalapa.
