Don Francisco José Cortés, Presbítero Domiciliario, natural de la Nueva Veracruz, hijo legítimo de don Francisco Bernabé Cortés y de doña María Antonia Contreras, difuntos otorga su testamento donde declara fue casado con doña María Rosa de la Peña Ceballos, de cuyo matrimonio tuvo a doña María Josefa Cortés a quien casó con Ignacio Domínguez y éstos tuvieron a su hijo José María Domínguez Cortés Peña de Ceballos, su nieto de 9 años, y a quien nombra como heredero universal; como albacea testamentaria nombra a su sobrino don Domingo Manuel Cortés, tutor, curador y tenedor de la persona y bienes de su nieto.
