Don Andrés Pérez de la Higuera, residente en su ingenio nombrado La Santísima Trinidad, dio su poder cumplido al licenciado Melchor Márquez de Amarilla, su tío, racionero de la Catedral de Tlaxcala, para que lo represente en todos sus pleitos, causas civiles y criminales y para que pueda cobrar cualesquier pesos de oro, joyas, esclavos, mercaderías, bienes raíces y muebles que le debieren; especialmente, para que en su nombre saque en almoneda pública los diezmos de ganado mayor,desde los ingenios de la provincia de Jalapa hasta la nueva Veracruz, por los años que le pareciere, aceptando en su nombre el remate y la escritura de obligación para la correspondiente paga, en el plazo que concertare.
