Francisco de Tovar, Maestro Mayor del Arte de Herradores y Albeitería en toda la gobernación de esta Nueva España, aprobado por el Marqués de Valero, declaró con juramento que ha examinado en el arte de herrador a Sebastián Díaz de Acosta, natural y vecino de Jalapa, de 25 años de edad, alto de cuerpo, trigueño, pelo negro, a quien le aplicó examen con preguntas y muestras del arte declarándolo hábil y suficiente y lo dio por maestro en dicho arte con licencia y facultad para poderlo usar.
