Diego Martín, vecino de Jalapa, vende a Diego Nuñez, vecino de este pueblo, un negro esclavo nombrado Manuel, de nación Angola, de 20 años de edad, que hubo y compró el Lic. Alonso García, presbítero, por escritura ante Diego Cortés de Brito, escribano público de Los Ángeles; sujeto a servidumbre, libre de empeño, hipoteca y enajenación, sin asegurarlo de tacha, defecto ni enfermedad, por el precio de 250 pesos de oro común; y el comprador se obligó a pagarlos de esta manera: la mitad para hoy día de la fecha en 2 meses, y la otra mitad, para allí en otros 2 meses, con las costas de la cobranza.
