Don Francisco Villa, labrador, vecino y del comercio de Perote, dijo que el 14 de septiembre de 1775 compró a doña Micaela María de Ortega y Escobedo, doncella mayor de 25 años, una hacienda y molino nombrada La Sierra del Agua, ubicada en el pueblo de Perote, en el precio de 10,500 pesos de los cuales 4,000 pesos quedaron en calidad de depósito irregular a favor de la vendedora, quien por su fallecimiento recayó en su heredero el Bachiller don José Mariano de Ortega, y por el fallecimiento de este acordó con su albacea don Joaquín de Cosio tenerlos en la misma calidad durante otros tres años.
