Juan de la Torre, natural y vecino del pueblo de Jalapa, hijo legítimo de Diego de la Torre Arnate y de María Rodríguez de la Higuera, estando enfermo en cama pero en su entero juicio, otorga poder para testar al Capitán Bartolomé de Castro, de la misma vecindad, y a Polonia de Rivilla, su mujer, a quienes les tiene satisfacción y confianza, para que en su nombre ordenen su testamento haciendo las mandas y legados como les tiene comunicado, exceptuando el nombramiento de los herederos. Asimismo los nombra sus albaceas para que cumplan y ejecuten su testamento, como heredera nombra a su mujer por no tener descendientes.
