Petición presentada ante el Capitán Juan de Zúñiga Cevallos, Alcalde Mayor, en la que Damián de Begil, vecino de este pueblo de Orizaba, padre legítimo de Catalina de Herrera, pide se le encargue la tutela de su hija, para cobrar las cantidades de pesos que le corresponden de los bienes que quedaron por fin y muerte de Diego García y Leonor de Céspedes, abuelos maternos de la dicha Catalina. En respuesta, el señor alcalde dijo que lo nombra como su tutor y curador ad litem.\n
