Pedro de Soto, dueño de su recua, vecino de la ciudad de los Ángeles, manifestó llevar en dicha recua dos indios llamados Manuel y Juan. Asimismo, el corregidor le notificó de la ordenanza que prohíbe bajar con indios a la Nueva Veracruz, ni pasar con ellos de este pueblo a partir del 1 de junio de cada año hasta el otro día después de San Francisco; también informó que a los indios debe dársele buen tratamiento, no servirse de ellos contra su voluntad y pagarles por su trabajo conforme a la ordenanza de Su Majestad que así lo manda.
