Juan de la Cruz, mayordomo de la recua de Domingo Cabello, vecino de Guatemala, manifestó llevar en servicio de ella para la Nueva Veracruz tres indios nombrados Gaspar Hernández, Juan López y Melchor Ramírez. Asimismo, el corregidor le notificó que a los indios debe dársele buen tratamiento y no servirse de ellos contra su voluntad; también se le informó de la ordenanza que prohíbe a los carreteros, arrieros y chirrioneros bajar con indios a la Nueva Veracruz, a partir del 1 de junio de cada año hasta 5 de octubre, so pena de 200 pesos.
