Juan Rodríguez, mayordomo de la recua de Francisco Martín, vecino de la villa de Córdoba, manifestó llevar en su recua para la Nueva Veracruz en su servicio y avío, cuatro indios nombrados Juan Vizcaíno y Juan largo, Francisco y Baltazar. Asimismo, el corregidor le notificó que a los indios debe dársele buen tratamiento y no servirse de ellos contra su voluntad; del mismo modo se le informó de la ordenanza que prohíbe a los carreteros, arrieros y chirrioneros bajar con indios a la Nueva Veracruz, a partir del 1 de junio hasta el 5 de octubre de cada año, so pena de 200 pesos, debido a que en esos meses llueve mucho, provocando que los naturales enfermen, condolezcan y mueran.\n
