Sebastián García, mayordomo de las recuas de Alonso Martín, vecino de Guatemala, manifestó llevar en ellas para la Nueva Veracruz y en su servicio, 14 indios, 10 en 2 atajos de mulas de 5 cada uno y 4 en otro, nombrados: Jusepe [José], Agustín, Pedro, Juan, Andrés, Nicolás, Juan, Pedro, Salvador, Diego, otro Andrés, otro, Juan, otro Salvador, y Agustín. Asimismo, el corregidor le notificó de la ordenanza que prohíbe bajar con indios a la Nueva Veracruz, ni pasar con ellos de este pueblo, a partir del 1 de junio de cada año hasta el otro día después de San Francisco, pena de 200 pesos; también le informó que a los indios debe dársele buen tratamiento y no servirse de ellos contra su voluntad.
