Lope de Gainza, Alguacil Mayor de este partido, dijo que en conformidad de la merced real y facultad que se le concede por su título, nombra como Alcaide de Cárcel a Domingo de Urquiza y Echevarría, para que con vara de la Real Justicia tenga y reciba los presos en ella, aprehenda a cualquier delincuente, también acuda a las cobranzas de los tributos de alcabalas, caminos y registros. Dicho Urquiza dio por su fiador a Cristóbal Villares [de Castro] residente en este pueblo.
