El Capitán Juan Silvestre Martínez de Montemayor, Alcalde Mayor y Capitán a Guerra de este pueblo y su partido, Juez de Caminos, Registro de Ganado y otras comisiones, dijo que por cuanto esta jurisdicción es muy distante y en ella suelen suceder muchos casos y cosas a la que no puede asistir personalmente, y para que en ella haya administración y justicia es necesario un lugarteniente, por lo que en virtud de la facultad que por su título se le concede, nombra Teniente General a don Joseph [José] Martínez de Montemayor, su hijo, para que ejerza en todo a él anexo y concerniente.
