El Capitán Manuel Lorente y Rueda, Alcalde Mayor y Capitán a Guerra de este partido y su jurisdicción, Juez de Caminos, Registros de Ganado y otras comisiones, dijo por cuanto esta jurisdicción está muy distante y en ella suelen suceder casos y cosas a las que no puede asistir personalmente, y para que en ella haya administración y justicia es necesario un lugarteniente, por lo que en virtud de la facultad que por su título se le concede, nombra por Teniente General a don Juan de Nates y San Román, vecino de este pueblo, para que ejerza justicia y lo correspondiente a él anexas.
