Don Sebastián de la Higuera Matamoros, dueño de este ingenio, aprobó la escritura que el Lic. Andrés Juárez de Arce, presbítero vecino de la ciudad de Los Ángeles, firmó en su nombre obligándolo a pagar a la Santa Iglesia Catedral de la Puebla de Los Ángeles, y al Lic. Florian de Reynoso, mayordomo de la Masa General de ella, en su nombre, 800 pesos de oro común, por los diezmos de maíz y menudencia de esta provincia y sus comunidades, pertenecientes al año de [1]644, los cuales se remataron para el dicho Capitán Don Sebastián de la Higuera, cuyo plazo fue para el día de Pascua de Navidad del presente año.
