Don Vital Fernández, vecino de la Villa de Aguayo, en el Nuevo Santander, viudo de doña Francisca de Vergara, otorga su testamento donde declara haber tenido un hijo con su difunta esposa, nombrado también Vital. Declara por bienes entre diez u once manadas de yeguas aburradas y demás bienes que están en poder de su madre, doña María de Córdoba, de la misma Villa. Nombra por albaceas a doña María de Córdoba, junto con don Fernando González Pacheco, y como heredero universal designa a don Vital Fernández, su hijo legítimo.
